Remember back in the day when only weird, eccentric people blogged? And only the most interesting of them earned money by blogging? Those days are gone. Many, many people have become bloggers, not only to talk about their hobbies and communication with family and friends, but to earn a paycheck, and potentially a very large paycheck. There are a number of vehicles from which to choose for the blogger to earn a decent paycheck. It is not terribly difficult to learn how to make bank from starting a blog, and here I discuss how to get paid to blog.
One of the easiest ways of how to get paid to blog is from AdSense. AdSense, and other products similar, are clusters of advertisement clicks in boxes on blogs. AdSense is Google's, but there are other companies which offer the same service. You get paid around $0.05-$0.10 per click when someone visits your site and click on it. Never click on links from your own site. That is a sure way to get kicked off the island because you are basically paying yourself. Some people make a tremendous amount of money from this. Choose the specific ad groups and locations wisely.
Most affiliate marketers use blogs as their vehicle to make money. Blogs are one of the easiest ways to get paid from blogging. It requires a lot of work, but many people make a great deal of money from promoting affiliate products. This is not a way for people to get rich quick, without getting their hands and feet dirty, but is definitely a way to a large payday.
Many people who have their own products blog to promote it. If you have eproducts, many people blog about it as free and fairly easy advertising. Blogging may possibly be a little more time consuming method of advertising, at least in the beginning while you get accustomed, but you should eventually be able to get your blog really cooking with a proper campaign. You can use pay per click advertising with your own product fairly easily (it's not as easy if you're using PPC to promote someone elses's product) and make money from your own product; remember PPC does cost money because it is paying for advertising.
If you have a service you offer to others, such as photography, you can use your blog to make money that way. Although you may not make money directly from blogging, you can use your blog as free advertising. Many photographers have a blog to let potential customers get to know them on a personal level. A few photographers have their own photo websites, but that can cost a lot of money to pay someone to create it, or a great deal of time to make your own from scratch. A blog can be free of only cost what a domain and host are. Or if you make blogs, design websites, etc., etc., you can show people what you can do as a de facto portfolio.
There are several ways that people monetize their blogs. Many people just want a few extra bucks to make their blogs worth something. Others start blogs for the sole purpose of turning them into cash cows. There are many ways how to get paid to blog, so you can use the ones that work best with the blog(s) you have.
